Sancho’s Dirty Laundry – the meeting place for Canberra’s urban art community. Founded by local illustrator & entrepreneur Sancho Murphy, Sancho’s Dirty Laundry was established with the intention of providing a home for the independent, lowbrow art scene in Canberra. Sancho’s Dirty Laundry stocks an array of independent and local brands, like Average Cat Clothing, Fool n Trolls, Marauder, TC Clothing, Unempire Socks, Molotow & Ironlak. BRISBANE STREET ART FESTIVAL // CLAIRE FOXTON
Brisbane Street Art Festival is a new event on the books but one that is already bursting at the seams with colour and creativity. This year, BSAF was held across 25 different locations across Brisbane, delivering a platform for both artists and the community to engage and contribute to a growing creative industry right in the heart of Brisbane City. Aside from large-scale mural work, BSAF held the likes of music, theatre, light shows, numerous exhibitions, creative master classes, workshops and multiple public forums just to name a few. Our friend, Claire Foxton, flew over to hit the bricks and bring some magic to Brisbane. With a background in painting, drawing and graphic design, Claire Foxton brings a mix of abstraction and realism to create works full of soft colour palettes and character.
POSTCARDS FROM… WOLLONGONG
POSTCARDS FROM… ST PETERS
There is beauty in the mundane. The way we look at the world is crucial in finding contentment. Every corner of a city, from the cracks in the footpath to a train charging past, make up something that can’t be easily replicated. They make up authenticity and culture. It’s easy to overlook the small things, but its the small things that build a city. Every detail sits in its place and makes up so many beautiful stills, almost postcard-like scenes of nothing.

STOCKLANDS // DAY 1
We hit the road south a few weeks ago with a new project in mind called ‘Long Story Short’.
We’ll be following some of the most creative business owners we know chatting to them about what they know, how they know it and how they’ve made it happen. The series will be focusing on independent businesses and will give an insight in to the trials and tribulations and the motivation it can take to get something off the ground. Check out some of the stills from the trip and get a sneak peak of the video here:
